The folks at STC have come up with the world’s first flower-vase-router hybrid. My only question is…why? I don’t know…looks kinda cool, though.

Now, from the outside the Blackbird web browser looks just like Mozilla FireFox…just with a black color scheme. However, when you look deeper, that’s where the similarities end. Blackbird is the first web browser built with African Americans in mind: it comes preloaded with Bookmarks aimed at the “Black Community”, and also will “move information from African American sites” higher in your search results.

See what you think. Download Here.

That’s right, those of you with a Windows Mobile phone are finally getting some love from Pandora….well, not every Windows Mobile phone. So far, Pandora say it is only for the Motorola Q9c and HTC XV6900 on Verizon; and the Motorola Q9c and HTC Touch on Sprint…with more makes & models to be supported soon. Here is the .cab file for any of you who want to try it out- or just go to www.pandora.com on your mobile phone. Check out the video demo (I think it’s on a Motorola Q9c.

Starting Wednesday, Visa has teamed up with Chase Bank to offer “Visa Mobile“- a service that will let you track your spending on your Chase Visa check card. It will also let you, potentially, pay bills from your home. Although it sounds very similar to mobile banking programs for cell phones that Bank of America and Chase already offer, Visa Mobile will let you make mobile payments in retail locations nationwide, or while on the go, over wireless networks. This kinda makes me want a G1 more…although, I never make “purchases” from my cell phone, though.

I’ve seen a lot of online converters for youtube videos, music, etc; but this one’s the business. Zamzar.com will convert almost ANYTHING! From MS Word documents, to videos for your iPhone, to youtube videos. It will even compress and “zip” your files for you. I tried it (and though kinda slow) it actually worked. It’s definitely not as fast as a native software based file converter, but if your away from home, it gets the job done.

How to cheat at Minesweeper
Posted By: Julien Jay

Who has ever won to Minesweeper? If you’re tired of losing all the time you can try this nice cheat that will basically reveals mines:

  1. Start Minesweeper,
  2. Type “xyzzy” without the quotes,
  3. Hit Shift and Enter at the same time,
  4. Minimize all application windows that hide the desktop. The uppermost pixel in the top left corner of your desktop will turn black when you mouse over a mine, and white when it’s safe to click.

This tip also works with Windows 2000 & Windows NT 4.0.

BGR just got a tip that in addition to the iPhone 3G actually making its way to Walmart, there will be a 4GB model priced at $99 with a 2-year agreement. Now, 4GB is certainly enough for some songs and short music videos, but someone who really buys one of these is probably not really concerned about storage space….just that they have and “iPhone”.

Kogan “looks” like they came through with a winner with their 3G Blackberry/Blackjack-esque styled gPhone. From their site it looks like they really tried to make a good (and affordable) phone. Both models have Android OS, 3G, 2.5″ touchscreen and microSD slot- with the Pro version containing Wifi, 2.0MP camera, and GPS (really, a “must have” to have Google Maps truly effective). Both are available Jan. 29, 2009 (Angora-$299, Angora Pro-$399)….first one to get one, drop me a line! …gotta order from Australia, though.
